A Day of Peace, Reverence, and Celebration
The burial proceedings, held from Friday, 6th March 2026, to Saturday, 7th March 2026, were marked by dignity, love, and unity. From the opening Service of Songs at their residence at No. 8 Inibu Street, Ofagbe Town, to the funeral service at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Ofagbe, the Lying in State, and the interment, every moment bore witness to God’s presence, guidance, and sustaining power.
We are eternally grateful to God for orchestrating a seamless and peaceful ceremony. Every arrangement, every gathering, and every ritual unfolded according to His divine will. There were no mishaps, and everything proceeded with the utmost respect and honor due to two lives so well-lived.
Gratitude to God
First and foremost, all glory belongs to Almighty God, the giver of life, the sustainer of the living, and the redeemer of the departed. It was His providence that allowed us to witness this day without chaos or sorrow overshadowing the dignity of our loved ones. We thank God for the journey mercies granted to all who traveled from near and far to pay their respects. Every prayer whispered, every hand extended in support, and every act of love was an answer from God Himself.
We especially thank God for the strength and courage He granted the family to endure the days leading up to the burial. Though grief touched our hearts, it never overwhelmed us, because God’s peace and comfort sustained us at every moment.
Appreciation to Families, Friends, and Communities
We extend heartfelt gratitude to family members, whose unwavering support, sacrifice, and love were the pillars of this ceremony. From organizing logistics, coordinating guests, managing the interment, and providing spiritual support, your dedication did not go unnoticed.
To the extended families, friends, neighbors, and community members of Ofagbe and Ovrode, your presence was a testament to the lives of impact and love that Late Pa Akpotu Ejabuno and Late Mrs. Susana Akpotu left behind. Your prayers, encouragement, and solidarity created an atmosphere of unity and hope that truly honored our parents.
Special acknowledgment goes to the clergy and congregation of Emmanuel Anglican Church, Ofagbe, for the moving funeral service, the comforting words of scripture, and the prayers that lifted our spirits. Your dedication to honoring our loved ones spiritually gave the family peace and closure.
We are also grateful to the staff of General Hospital, Ozoro, and Ovrode Mortuary, for handling every detail with professionalism and care. Your support made the transportation, preparation, and lying in state seamless and respectful.

Late Pa Akpotu Ejabuno and Late Mrs. Susana Akpotu exemplified the virtues of patience, humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to family and community. Their guidance, teachings, and example have left an indelible mark on all who knew them.
From the children to grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended families, and friends, the echoes of their love and lessons will continue to shape lives for generations to come. Their home, once a place of guidance, counsel, and hospitality, remains in our hearts as a symbol of unity, kindness, and love.
Celebrating the Day
The entire day of the burial was a manifestation of God’s faithfulness. Every guest who arrived, every hymn sung, every scripture read, every hand shaken, every embrace exchanged, every prayer lifted — it was all a reminder of the community of love and faith that our parents fostered.
The reception at Ibakpa Primary School, Ofagbe Town, was a moment of fellowship, sharing, and remembrance. Stories of courage, humility, and faith were shared, laughter and tears mingled, and the spirit of gratitude permeated every corner. It was a day where we not only mourned but rejoiced in the fullness of lives well-lived.

May God Almighty, who is faithful and true, reward each one of you abundantly. May He grant you peace, good health, and prosperity in every aspect of your lives. May the legacy of Late Pa Akpotu Ejabuno and Late Mrs. Susana Akpotu inspire us all to live with integrity, love, and unwavering faith.
